The Brand

From NYC to Paris, Moscow or Sydney… Juliette intrigues the world. Armed with her perfume, the Shakespearian heroine goes wild. Life is too short, and pleasures too many, says Juliette. The Gun, metaphor for the perfume, weapon of seduction, or simple accessory of bluff, essentially symbolizes the liberation of women towards men. And sometimes with a taste for revenge… But the concept is also influenced by romantism. A modern version, where reinventing couple and femininity is a constant quest.

Launched in 2006, the brand philosophy is to approach perfumery as an art and to be present only through a limited distribution such as concept stores or specialized perfumeries, such as Skins Cosmetics.

The Creator

Initiated into fashion by his great grandmother Nina Ricci, and to perfumery by his grandfather Robert, creator of the iconic L’Air du Temps, Romano Ricci has been surrounded by fashion and creation since childhood. Grateful to his family heritage, Romano wanted to prove he could succeed by himself and express his own universe. He apprenticed in the perfumery world for 4 years, learning amongst the greatest, and then persuaded Francis Kurkdjian, the master of perfumery, to work with him.

The rest is history.

He launched “Juliette has a Gun” in December 2006, an original brand dedicated to women, willing to open a new type of elegance in the niche perfumery world. A metaphor for perfume, a weapon of seduction, or simply an accessory of bluff, the “Gun” essentially symbolizes the liberation of women towards men…and sometimes with an aftertaste of revenge…

Romano runs the maison “Juliette has a Gun” personally, designing the products and fragrances himself. In May 2011, the French Fragrance Foundation honoured the creative with the "Special Prize of the Board" at "Les Parfums 2011" (FiFi Awards).

Tradition with a zest of provocation, Romano is restoring perfumes to what they should always be: emblems of style and originality

The Creations

The brand consists of 14 fragrances in the classic collection, and 6 in the luxury collection (all of which have gained cult status) are composed like olfactive portraits, genuine tributes to raw materials.

Exclusively feminine, the Juliette has a Gun fragrances are deployed like different facets of Juliette’s personality - mutinous, vengeful, burning, androgynous, cavalier or immaterial.
